A serendipitous road brought Ashley to winemaking. Originally from Oklahoma, she grew up riding horses and hoped to become an equine veterinarian. While studying animal science, she took a class called “International Beverage Education,” as an elective. After a couple of classes focused in wine, she quickly realized that the science from studying to become a veterinarian, applied to winemaking as well. Winemaking embodied a creative essence that she did not find in animal science. From this point on Ashley pursued a career in winemaking.

Ashley has worked in California and Oregon as well as abroad in Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay.

Ashley’s winemaking career began in New Zealand in the Marlborough region where she worked for Two Rivers of Marlborough for 4 vintages. She was lured back to California by the opportunity to work with Bill Price, Bob Cabral, and Ryan Prichard of Three Sticks Wines based in Sonoma where she worked as Associate Winemaker for 4 vintages.
